authors’ night at centreville library, december 11

Tomorrow night from 7:00–9:00, I’ll join other Eastern Shore authors for a book signing at the Centreville branch of the Queen Anne’s County Free Library in Centreville, MD (121 South Commerce Street).  The other authors are:

ROBERT BIDINOTTO of Grasonville is the author of HUNTER, which became the #1 Amazon Kindle bestseller in “Mysteries & Thrillers” and “Romantic Suspense,” and a Wall Street Journal “Top Ten Fiction Ebook.”  Robert also is an award-winning author and editor of nonfiction books, magazines, essays, reviews, and investigative articles for Reader’s Digest and many other magazines and newspapers.

 

 

 

SUSAN JONES lives on Tilghman Island, after migrating eastward from Portland (OR), Minneapolis, Indianapolis, and Washington, DC.  A professional musician and a librarian, she began writing “vocabulary verse” when as a corporate librarian she was asked to do a word-of-the-week service for fellow employees.  Her book, WORDS’WORTH’S VOCABULARY VERSE A TO Z AND BACK AGAIN: A RHYMING ROMP THROUGH THE ALPHABET, is compiled from her collection of light verse.  

 

 

 

BRENT LEWIS’ books are REMEMBERING KENT ISLAND: STORIES OF THE CHESAPEAKE and A HISTORY OF THE KENT ISLAND VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.  Brent has published articles in a number of magazines, contributes regularly to the Kent Island Heritage Society newsletter, and conducts the society’s oral history program.  Brent is working on his first novel.  Follow Brent’s blog for more!

 

 

 

MARK LIDINSKY lives on Kent Island and is a member of the Edgar Allan Poe Society & Kent Island Heritage Society.  His first novel, CAPTAIN BOYLE’S TREASURE, is historical fiction about Kent Island in 2013, with possible buried treasure from the War of 1812.  The second of the Kent Island Mysteries, THE HEADLESS OYSTERMAN, was just released.   The Oyster Wars of the Chesapeake haunt present day Kent Island in this historical fiction tale of revenge, murder and watermen justice.

SUSAN REISS trained as a concert pianist then moved into television as a writer/producer for many years.  Her work has received a Silver Medal, New York International Film Festival, the Cine Golden Eagle, three Tellys and numerous Emmy nominations.  She started collecting sterling silver pieces decades ago and blogs at www.SilverMystery.com.  A native of Washington, D.C., she now makes her home in St. Michaels.  TARNISHED SILVER is the first in a new murder mystery series set in Saint Michaels and the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

 

 

 

JERRY SWEENEY, who grew up on Long Island, is an Army vet, a graduate of Michigan, and a retired New York magazine executive now living in Trappe.  WIZARD HO! is Jerry’s sixth published novel and the fifth in The Columbiad series that follows one family through the 20th Century.  The other books in the series include: EAGLES RISING, FIRST LIGHTS, CRASHING INTO SUNRISE and YO COLUMBIA!  Jerry is the current president of the Eastern Shore Writers Association.

WILSON WYATT is a writer and award-winning photographer from Bozman, near St. Michaels.  He is the author of a new tabletop book of regional photography, CHESAPEAKE VIEWS – CATCHING THE LIGHT.  His last book, YOSEMITE – CATCHING THE LIGHT, sold out in 2011. He is executive editor of THE DELMARVA REVIEW, a regional literary journal. As a former journalist, he has published in numerous newspapers, magazines, and journals.
